I HAVE A 7 YEAR OLD MALE GOLDEN RETRIEVER WEIGHS IN AT 113 POUNDS FLAKY SKIN CAUSES SCRATCHING AND ODER PROBLEMS

June 10, 2014

A gentleman that I know trains and shows dogs. He had mentioned your product as a potential remedy for my family dog. I have a 7 year old male golden retriever, field trial quality, not show, that is over sized at 85 to 90 pounds normal summer weight and currently weighs in at 113 pounds in winter weight, with flakey skin, possible arthritis, and over weight. The flaky skin causes scratching and Oder problems and is at it's worst during the warmer months. We live in the country where he roams freely on our 5 acres and swims in our pond (which I know is not good for his skin problem). We have tried oatmeal baths twice a month, and when the condition is at it's worst, we have tried cortizone shots. These efforts have only provided very temporary relief -- I'm looking for (hopefully) permanent relief. Also, our vet has prescribed glucosamine for my dog‘s arthritis. The problem with this is that I can't find the glucosamine in powder or liquid form. My dog does not like to take tablets unless they taste good to him, so I am having to force the tablet down.

Hi Vandy,

I think your dog will benefit a great deal from us. I would get a jar of the Everyday Health and the Healthy Joint formulas. Give a full dose of each to him...you should see improvement in about 2-3 weeks. He may gain weight on the formula so you may have to reduce the amount of food. Please let me know how this works for him.
