I have a 17 month old Sheltie with terrible allergies. We seemed to have narrowed it down to beef and or his heartworm pill. I contacted Novartis, the maker of interceptor, and they informed me that Dakota shows the typical signs of being allergic to the Lactose powder that is in the pill. What other heart worm medicine can I give him that will not make him scratch so much. I fear he is going to injure his eyes by scratching so much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
