7 YEAR OLD WHITE BOXER COBY HAD A STROKE NOW HAS SECRETIONS FROM HIS ANUS

June 10, 2014

My 7 year old white boxer Coby had a stroke (threw a blood clot), causing an infection in his left rear leg (6 Weeks after surgery to remove an infected polyp in his rectum). After the surgery, he has continued to have secretions from his anus (infected anal glands?) which are not responding to repeated treatments of antibiotics. We would like something to help strengthen him to regain the use of his leg (he is able to use it a little) and fight off his repeated infections. Which product do you recommend?

Hi Lynn,

Without seeing Where the drainage is, I cannot give you an accurate opinion. The drainage might be a fistula formed when the polyp was removed. Your vet could discover this with a further exam under a sedative. I would think my Everyday Health formula Would help boost your dog’s immune system and in the long run be safe and effective. If you choose to try it, please keep in touch. My best.
