I have a 16 year old dog. He is part beagle and part something else. He has stayed small like a beagle his whole life. He can hardly see and he can hardly hear anymore. He scratches all the time because his skin is dry and he hardly sleeps. I am 23 years old and “Billy” is like part of the family to me and my 21 year old brother. We have all grown very attached to him and we know that his time is coming soon. How can we make his remaining time the best of his life? I just don’t want him to be in any pain, but I also don’t want to give him up just yet; What do I do?
I am sure Billy can be made to feel better. First you must be sure he does not have fleas or tapeworms, which they can get from fleas. He should be on a diet of less than 25% protein and about 15% fat. I would advise that you send for some of my Healthy Skin and Coat and Healthy Joint supplements and give him a full measure of each in his food each day. I know you will see a difference. Please let me know how it works. Thanks for the interesting question.
