COOKER-DACHSHUND MIX DEVELOPED THREE “FATTY” TUMORS ON HIS BELLY AND RIB-CAGE AREA

June 10, 2014

Can the Healthy Joint formula be used on a daily basis or only during the period of an injury? My dog is a 7 year old cooker-dachshund mix. Over the past year he has developed three “fatty” tumors on his belly and rib-cage area (just under the skin). I did have the first one removed about a year ago to have it tested and was told that it was a lipoma. Since, one has come back in the same location and all are now about the size of a large grape. ls there anything I can do to prevent these? Are these a risk to his health and happiness?

Hi Laura,

The Healthy Joint formula can be fed on a regular basis; it is especially good for older dogs or arthritic dogs. Also dogs that are working or exercising a lot. I would not be concerned with the fatty tumors, unless they grow between layers of muscle where they could cause pain. You should be able to determine if he is in pain. Hope this answers your questions.
